Candlelight, Bold Colour, and Dounts
Planning your 2017 wedding? We are here to help. Event and floral designer expert, Caspar Haydar, shares five wedding trends that will surely make your big day magical.
A COLOR COME BACK
Colour will be making a huge comeback this year, especially after so many years of all white and pale blush weddings. Don't be scared of colour! So many great ways to make colour look chic.
Bring the outdoors inside! Lots of beautiful cherry blossom trees, large manzanita trees dripping in floral and lots of greens! We will also continue to see rustic, earthy, and garden-inspired arrangements, but with more of a glam twist created with a mixture of deep and light colours. Blush and maroon colours will stay strong among brides again.
TREATS FOR MY SWEET
Wedding Cakes are here to stay, but, over the years, we have seen so many couples choose sweet tables or items that reflect their personal tastes such as donut and macaron towers. This dessert trend will continue with more personalized touches. Sweet tables and beautifully decorated cake tables have become a become extensions of the wedding décor, not just a late night snack after the wedding dinner.
PRETTY IN PINK
It's been a trend for a few years now, but I think it's here to stay. Especially blush pinks, which are timeless and elegant.
IT'S (CANDLE) LIT!
We will see many wedding go heavy with candlelight. Many think this is a cost effective way to go instead of flowers. I love using lots and lots of candles with simple arrangements of flowers and lots of small vases filled with single stem flowers.
