Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and friendly Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing delicious beverages for our customers. Qualifications Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea, and drink preparation and product Outstanding communication and guest service skills Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow directions for all production 1+ year barista experience on a manual espresso machine preferred High school diploma preferred Duties: Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks Provides guests with exceptional service and product details, such as coffee blend or preparation description Sets up stations and replenishes displays neatly including separation of allergens (nuts, wheat, etc.) Ensures all items are dated and following First in First Out (FIFO) standards Weighs, grinds or packs coffee beans for guests according to their specifications Operates the Point of Sales (POS) system ensuring the accuracy of cash drops and authenticity of bills Cleans and sanitizes work areas in accordance with supervising health agency of the area Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area Follow proper food handling and safety guidelines Assist with food preparation as needed - Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns Works across all counters serving pastry, salads, sandwiches and other French delicacies Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume Performs other duties as required or assigned Job Requirements Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including early mornings, evenings, and weekends Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting Ability to operate equipment such as manual espresso machine, ovens, drink blenders, and Point of Sale Dexterity for rapid and consistent espresso creation Smart Serve Certified We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for growth within our company.
