Since 2000, Start2Finish has been committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by leveling the playing field for children in marginalized communities in Mississauga and across Canada. As a national organization, they provide access to educational resources and research-based curriculum through after-school programs that support the whole child. Their mission is to foster lifelong success by building literacy, promoting physical well-being, and strengthening social-emotional development. They empower children to thrive academically and beyond.
Each year, thousands of backpacks are distributed by Start2Finish to economically-challenged students in Peel region schools and country-wide. Filled with brand-new, grade-appropriate school supplies, these backpacks do more than prepare children for the first day of school, they restore confidence, dignity, and the belief that someone cares.
