Inspired by their mission to ignite positive change, Holt Renfrew has partnered with TerraCycle® to take back those hard-to-recycle beauty items and turn them into something new – helping extend the life of items that would otherwise end up in a landfill.
*Complimentary totes and luxe items have sold out. Customers are encouraged to continue donating to the TerraCycle® program.
HOW IT WORKS
Once you’ve finished off that last drop or swipe of your favourite beauty item, you can bring eligible empty product/packaging to Holt Renfrew and deposit them into the Beauty Recycling boxes in their Beauty Halls.
You CAN recycle the following items:
- Compacts
- Concealer Sticks & Tubes
- Eyeliner & Lip Pencils
- Foundation Bottles & Tubes
- Lipsticks & Lip Balms
- Mascara
You CANNOT recycle the following items:
- items collected through your local curbside recycling program
- sharp and flammable items – aerosol cans, fragrance bottles, nail polish bottles, nail polish remover bottles
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Once full, TerraCycle® collects the Beauty Recycling boxes from Holt Renfrew, sorts and separates the various materials, and then uses them to create new products!
